Gum Turpentine Oil is a transparent liquid, obtained from distillation of oleo pine resin . It is a great source of alpha-pinene with a percentage from 45%-80% minimum (GC-FID). Gum Turpentine oil is traditionally used as a solvent or cleaning agent for paints and varnishes which is still common today. There are also some special uses, in the pharmaceutical industry. Alpha Pinene and Beta Pinene are the two main chemical components of Turpentine Oil.
Most of the turpentine oil is used as a source of chemical isolates which are then converted into various products.
